My Faves!

All in all...

it's been a successful week. That sounds weird, but really, that's how I feel, successful. haha I've just kinda been in a rut or something ever since I got back. I think it's just that my job really stresses me out and it has been less than enjoyable. But early on this week I gave myself a pep talk and was like "Kat, get over it". haha So I've been trying to get out more and do some new things and it's been good.

The week started off with a bang with Ryan's birthday party on Sunday night, which was lots of fun. I got to hit up some favorite spots such as Mama's (the western restaurant right outside the apartment door, she made shish kebabs... I'd say it's my fave thing there) and then the ever popular Blue's Bar. I had to leave the night early because I had to get up early for work, but it was a very fun night.

Spirits were kept up all week with some "Mexican" food (my fajitas tasted a lot like teriyaki? haha And I believe there were ants on a plate... hahahaha) on Monday and then a movie at the Bangkok International Film Festival on Tuesday. I saw Dogtooth. I don't recommend it. haha It's a Greek film and it was extremely interesting, it definitely kept my attention, but I wouldn't say that I particularly enjoyed it. hahaha But I felt cool, just cause I can now say that I went to the Bangkok International Film Festival. haha

I slept A LOT on Wednesday and Thursday. I was very very very tired. All the typhoons and tsunamis in the air are giving me some killer headaches and making me very lethargic. But oh well, I slept it off and the air here is clearing.

Friday night I went out with Aubrey and met some new people at this super fancy expensive posh club called the Bed Supperclub. I walked in and immediately felt like Carrie in Sex and the City. haha I was so tempted to order a cosmo. haha There are all these beds everywhere that you sit on and everything is white, except for in the black room where everything is black. haha Go figure. It was very cool. And very fun.

The rest of the weekend I kept trying to do new things. haha I went to a park I hadn't been to before, Chatachuck Park, and then I got a massage at a new place. haha Both were great experiences and everything, but I actually think I preferred my usual park, Lumphini, and massage place. hahaha It was good though. I'm trying to branch out.

And you know what else I did? I studied. I've been really struggling with the studying. I think too much, and not about studying. haha About random things... like, the other day I was "studying" but really I was just wondering why the cat that had just walked by me was so fat (cats are always skeletal here). haha But today, I tried something new. I went to a mall. Yes, a mall. And I studied in the food court. And beleive it or not, I don't think I've ever been so focused before in my life. I got a lot done and now I'm very proud of myself. I'll think I'll go back tomorrow. haha
